TCS to set up devpt center in Germany

NEW DELHI: As part of its strategy to expand in the European market, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to set up development and sales centers in Germany.

The company is planning to recruit around 400 professionals in Germany to cater to the needs of local market. Most of the employees are expected to be from the local market.

The entry into German market is meant to pave way for further penetration into the European market. TCS would focus on three key verticals in Germany that include banking, financial and insurance sectors.

The offices will be spread over three locations which include Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Walldorf. One of these centers would be a global development center of the company and the other two would act as sales offices of the company. The company already has global centers in Uruguay, Brazil and Hungary.

TCS has presence in the European market since 1975. It has nine offices in UK and Ireland backed by 25,000 professionals.
