TCS to offer iON cloud solution to SMEs in NCR

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday announced its ambitious iON cloud solution for the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in the National Capital Region.

The company claims in a press conference that it is the first-of-its-kind integrated on-demand business solution.

Based on a pay-per-use business model, iON helps SMEs to leverage technology solutions in a cost-effective manner. The company is optimistic about the NCR market with the cloud and said close to 250 customers have already signed up for iON.

V Ramaswamy, global head, iON, said that their third generation service model allows SMEs to capture growth through seamless technology deployment and ongoing enhancement and support.

The company believes that iON’s cloud-based services and pay-per-use business model is uniquely suited to SMEs in various developed and emerging markets.

iON addresses the entire spectrum of an SME’s technology needs which range from business solutions like HR, finance, inventory, sophisticated domain-based ERP solutions as well as basic applications like email, document management and website services, the company claimed. iON is pre-configured with hardware, network and software bundled together and backed by business, technical and consulting services.

In order to facilitate SME customers with seamless service, iON has created an ecosystem of 100 Cloud Service Partners across the country. iON’s industry solutions are currently available for manufacturing, textiles, education, retail and healthcare services.

SMEs can use the power of iON to build their business advantage and compete in the global stage,” said N. Chandrasekaran, CEO and MD, TCS, who is also the chief architect of iON.
