NEW YORK: Thirty-four companies from India figured among Forbes' list of 2000 giant corporates, with Oil and Natural Gas Corp. at 239th position leading the firms.
Tata Consultancy Services lead the Indian software and service companies at the 1,047 position. Infosys, Wipro and Satyam claimed the 1,130, 1,233 and 1,874 positions, respectively.
Citigroup topped the list of Forbes' 2000 companies, followed by Bank of America, HSBC Holdings, General Electric and JP Morgan Chase.
Bharti Airtel was the only Indian telecom company that found a slot in the top 2000 rankings.
