TCS launches new BI solutions

MUMBAI, INDIA: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched Provider Performance Insight, a business intelligence (BI) solution built on SAP BusinessObjects software for hospitals and other healthcare providers. Using its proprietary BI framework, TCS has developed a dashboard for both hospital administration and patient care.

The BI solution takes three to five months to deploy and provides solutions for both administrative and clinical processes.

“The escalating cost of healthcare makes it imperative for all healthcare providers to evaluate efficiencies in every aspect of their business,” said Debashis Ghosh, Head—Life Sciences and Healthcare, TCS.

The dashboard has been developed using TCS’ healthcare analytics framework (hBIDS) and built on the SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius software. The hBIDS framework has a list of performance indicators, covering most of the operational and clinical areas of a hospital, including customer care and satisfaction, resource utilization, staff satisfaction, staff utilization, clinical outcomes and financial measurements.
