NEW DELHI: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Globalsoft Innovations Inc. (GSI) have announced their alliance to jointly invest in the development of GSI's flagship convergence product suite iFusion, which includes Participé and Communiqué.

GSI is a player in the convergence IP communication solutions space. iFusion provides myriad Internet Telecommunication services such as Unified Messaging (voice, fax, and e-mail), voice/fax over IP, video/audio/text conferencing, and Instant Messaging (IM)-all over an IP Network, an Intelligent Network and the PSTN.

This comprehensive solution offers a complete Internet convergence platform for communication, collaboration, and information management. iFusion can be configured to meet the specific needs of a service provider or an enterprise. It can integrate with any existing infrastructure such as with legacy email systems and PBXs, to help protect the client's initial investment.

TCS has entered into an agreement with GSI where TCS would co-develop iFusion through a dedicated overseas development center (ODC) and also share revenue from the sale of GSI's products. "Our cooperation with GSI will enable us to offer cutting-edge convergence solutions to our IT customers", said Dr. Gautam Shroff, head of the Architecture and Technology Consulting practice at TCS, stressing the advantages of the venture.
