TCS extends contract with Singapore Airlines

SINGAPORE/MUMBAI: Top Indian IT services, business solutions and outsourcing firm, Tata Consultancy Services, today announced that it has been chosen by Singapore Airlines to provide IT Services for three years for a suite of applications used by the Singapore Airlines Group of Companies.

After the end of the existing term, Singapore Airlines went through a formal vendor selection process and chose to partner TCS.

Under the agreement, TCS will continue to manage Singapore Airlines’ IT systems including 24x7 business critical applications ranging from passenger reservations to flight operations.

TCS has always added value to Singapore Airlines’ operations and this engagements reflects their trust in our capabilities”.

TCS’ partnership with Singapore Airlines dates back to the early 90s when the two organizations set up a joint venture known as Aviation Software Development and Consultancy (ASDC) to support mainly Singapore Airlines’ IT systems and applications.  ASDC was eventually acquired and integrated into TCS in 2006.
