Tata Teleservices rings in World Environment Day with Sustainability Month

MUMBAI, INDIA: Tata Docomo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices will celebrate the entire month of June as Tata Sustainability Month to promote sustainable business practices across all its offices.

The theme of this year’s Tata SustainabilityMonth (TSM) is SMART21 (Sustainable Meaningful Actions for a Responsible TATA) and where 21 stands for the 21 days theory of habit formation and behaviour as known in motivation circles.

“At Tata Teleservices, sustainability and social responsibility are core considerations, in keeping with the ethos of the Tata Group, of responsible business growth” said Usha Rangarajan, Chief Transformation Officer, Tata Teleservices.

“This four week program is broadly divided into three core areas: Educate–where employees are made aware of our company’s initiatives and reiterate on our best practices , Engage– where we invite employees and their families to come forward and share their sustainability practices and Embrace–by small, regular continuous actions we create habits around these best practices which are beneficial for society in general,” she elaborated.

The company has planned several activities like employee e-waste collection drive and sustainability awareness sessions for students associated with its NGO partners. Additionally, it has organized contests like Best from Waste contest and Green Selfie competition for employees and their families.
