Tata Tele adds 3.3 mn users in Dec

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Tata Teleservices, India's sixth-largest mobile operator, added 3.34 million mobile users in December, leading industry additions for the fifth straight month, according to data released by an industry body.

Tata Tele, 26 percent owned by Japan's NTT DoCoMO, increased its mobile user base to 57.3 million, the Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) said on its website.

Top mobile operator Bharti Airtel signed up 2.85 million users in December, while its nearest rival Reliance Communications gained 2.8 million subscribers.
