Tata Tele adds 2.3 mn users in May

BANGALORE, INDIA: Tata Teleservices, India's fifth-biggest mobile phone operator, said it added 2.33 million subscribers in May to have a total of more than 70 million.

Japan's NTT DoCoMo owns 26 per cent of Tata Teleservices.

Commenting on the achievement, Anil Sardana, managing director of Tata Teleservices Limited, said, “The achievement also bears testimony to the efforts that have been put into making our network and services the best in the industry - we will continue to innovate and evolve, providing world-best products and offerings to our subscribers.”

During the last financial Year, the company introduced its new GSM brand Tata DOCOMO, ‘Pay-Per-Second’ and ‘Pay-Per-Call’ tariff plans, products like Photon TV and Mobile TV, and lifestyle products like Buddynet, diet-sms and many others.
