Tata Infotech launches TINP for network integration market

NEW DELHI: Tata Infotech Education, an IT education company, has announced

the launch of Tata Infotech Networking Professional Program (TINP). This program

leads to 3 global certifications in Networking and will be available through a

chain of over 15 exclusive centers across the country under the

"ambition" umbrella. Tata Infotech is introducing the TINP program to

address the fast growing Network Integration market, which requires high-end

skilled resources.

The TINP course is a high-powered course consisting of core Networking

modules and capped by specializations leading to 3 global certifications like

A+, MCSE 2000, CCNA 2.0 and Sun Solaris. The course will be offered in a mix of

Instructor led and Computer Based Training. Faculty guidance will be provided to

take the student through the CBT modules. This 371-hour TINP program is being

offered to the students at a cost of Rs 22,500. Once the student completes the

course, Tata Infotech Education will provide placement assistance through its

ProfilesIT initiative.

Speaking at the occasion Tata Infotech Ltd. Head - education services

division, Rahul Thapan said, "As the Telecommunication markets are opened

by the government, a lot of companies plan to invest in the development of the

Network Infrastructure in the country. This in turn will fuel investment in

hardware and networking equipment, which will spur the demand for high-end and

quality human resources to integrate and maintain it. The differentiation will

not only be in terms of the quality of service, but the customer orientation of

these people. The job profiles available are in technical support, help desks,

network administration and network design. While high-end hardware networking

skills are required in telecommunications industry, the call center industry is

also employing persons with networking skills in large numbers to man its help

desk operations."
