Tata Infotech introduces 360 Degree Learning Approach

By : |April 20, 2002 0

NEW DELHI: Tata Infotech Education, an IT education company is the first in India to conceive and offer the 360 degree Learning Approach. This new approach was the result of a research conducted by IMRB with Corporate and Professionals. This approach is driven by the market requirements of the IT industry. Based on these requirements, Tata Infotech Education creates products, services and solutions for its students and corporate customers. This takes the earlier 360 degree product offering of Business-Application-Technology to a higher platform of a three-way partnership between Academia-Tata Infotech-Corporate for a holistic learning. The 360 degree Learning Approach not only helps the students pursue higher education worldwide by providing them credits, but also Curriculum Accreditation and Certifications that have worldwide acceptance.

The IT industry is a combination of Software, Hardware, Networking and IT Enabled Services. Tata Infotech Education is the only company that offers comprehensive Career oriented courses like G-Tech, TINP (Tata Infotech Networking Professional) and CRèME (Customer Relationship e-Management Expert) to address these emerging markets. The curriculum is developed by Software Engineers of Tata Infotech, based on regular feedback from Corporate and Professionals. This is then delivered to students by Tata Infotech Education’s faculty and Computer Based Training through their tie-up with SmartForce.

Since 1999, all offerings from Tata Infotech Education have ensured stress on fundamentals, with a progression to Business-Application-Technology in 2000, and then to the 360 degree Learning Approach in 2001 to provide a learning experience for the real world. These are then enhanced by Academic tie-ups for higher education and testing from VUE for globally accepted Certifications.

According to Rahul Thapan, Head – Education Services Division, Tata Infotech Ltd, “It is our endeavor to reinvent our business based on the latest trends in the IT industry. As new career opportunities emerge on the horizon, we work with the Corporate and the Academia to constantly innovate our curriculum and meet the needs of the industry. Our 360 degree Learning Approach has six perspectives encompassing the Industry, Career, Student, Product, Delivery and Academia. Our 360 degree Learning Approach will prepare our students for the real world and place them on the Career Highway.”
