Tata Elxsi opens development center in Pune

PUNE: Tata Elxsi's fourth development center worldwide and first was formally inaugurated here today.

The new Pune center would be a “Center of Excellence” on the lines of the company's existing global design and development centers in Bangalore, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram and would assist customers worldwide for product design and development for networking and communications technologies such as VOIP, Wireless LAN, Routing and Switching and embedded networking.

The center has been set up with full-fledged infrastructure and initial capacity of 100 engineers, targeted for staffing over 6-8 months as part of the phase I ramp —up plans.

Addressing the media Prakash S, Technology Group Head for Networking and Communications, Tata Elxsi Limited said that the COE would help the company to address product development for global customers and provide engineers in the Mumbai-Pune region with opportunities for an exciting career.
