Tata Comm restores Internet connectivity

BANGALORE, INDIA: Tata Communications on late Thursday night restored Internet connectivity to its leased line subscribers after a sudden blackout which lasted a few hours.

A communication from Tata comm to its customers said "Traffic on the circuit was affected due to cable cut in SMW4 Seg. 3 undersea cable. We have re-routed our Internet traffic on alternate capacities to reduce the impact of this outage and see an improvement in our network performance."
