NEW DELHI: Bangalore based Tarang Software has announced that it has acquired
CyberCash India from VeriSign Inc.
CyberCash India, a development group used to support CyberCash payment
services, will be merged with Tarang Software in the coming months to provide
payment services to its customers.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Kumar, CEO of Tarang Software said,
"Payment technologies is a promising, yet complex domain. Our vision was to
build knowledge of payment technologies and acquire customers quickly. Payment
services have excellent synergy with Tarang's focus on services for customers in
the financial segment. We have broadened our offerings to this market and hope
to be the first choice for customers globally."
CyberCash's Internet payments business was recently acquired by VeriSign, and
First Data Merchant Services acquired the CyberCash and Tellan software product
line. With this acquisition, Tarang has two new customers, providing technical
development services to VeriSign Inc and First Data Corporation.
