Tally 9 gets closer to SMBs, enterprises

BANGALORE: Tally 9, the latest version by Tally (India) Pvt. Ltd, aims to help further streamline business processes easily and cost-effectively.

Delivering the keynote at a seminar organized by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), in association with Tally (India) at FKCCI's Cabinet Hall in Bangalore recently, Madhava Murthy, Chairman, Southern India Regional Council, ICAI, Bangalore, said: "Tally, the user-friendly software is being adapted across the globe. Simpler than manual maintenance, the software enables SMBs concentrate on their businesses by helping them to overcome problems such as lack of manpower and financial constraint."

The Tally accounting software has been widely adapted by (SMBs) to simplify the business processes. This seminar was yet another step to enable SMBs and enterprises enhance their business process by using Tally 9. Many entrepreneurs, who were yet to use Tally, received education about the installation and uses of Tally 9 in their businesses.

Explaining the merits of Tally 9 during the technical session, Shanmukha C. G., Assistant Manager, Global Service Business, Tally (India) noted: "Tally 9 aims at enhancing speed and reliability in the business process. With the support of technology, entrepreneurs can earn considerable profit and witness significant growth."

Unlike the previous versions, Tally 9 incorporates several salient features. The concurrent multi-lingual capability allows users to enter accounts, view them and print reports in any language of their choice. The pay roll offers enhanced payroll management with automatic calculation of salaries and pay slip generation.

POS invoicing allows faster data entry and printing in 40 column continuous stationery, while data synchronization helps to synchronize and update data across multiple locations, thus enabling fast and easy access/exchange of business information between offices and branches, across various geographies.

"Additional advanced features comprises better statutory compliance with VAT, TDS, service tax, excise for traders, CST and FBT capabilities, advanced accounting and MIS, bank reconciliation, multi-location inventory, order management, job costing, invoicing, data reliability and data security," Shanmukha added.

Raj Bhasin, Chairperson, IT and knowledge-based services committee, FKCCI, and Nagalakshmi B V, Regional Head, South, Tally (India) Pvt. Ltd were also present.
