TAIPEI, TAIWAN: Taiwan's HTC Corp, the world's No.4 smartphone brand, said on Friday it expects fourth quarter revenues to hit a record T$100 billion ($3.3 billion), with shipments to more than double to 9 million units.
HTC said in a statement that it also expects its fourth quarter gross profit margin to be around 30 percent.
Earlier this month, HTC reported a near doubling in third quarter earnings thanks to new models and its push into phones for Google's Android operating system.
HTC has recently introduced new handsets using Google's Android software and Microsoft's Windows mobile system.
Other bigger rivals are Nokia Oyj, Blackberry maker Research in Motion and iPhone maker Apple Inc.
