This is done to increase the investment more than NT$200 billion in private investments, says the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

The solar energy, LED, smart grid, electric car and green architecture industries will emerge as key industries in the future.

Several programs have been made by the government, including LED traffic light and street light replacement, PV technology integration in public buildings and solar power plant development.

Apart from this the MOEA said that the South Korea’s “new green policy” has invested US$7.7 billion in clean energy, US$6 billion in energy-efficient architectures etc.

Industry sources have revealed that the deficiency of government support could affect the competitiveness of the green industry in a global view.
