MUMBAI, INDIA: In the wake of rising frauds and payment defaults in recent times, Mumbai-based Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT) will hold a workshop for its members on 'How to Avoid Frauds' on July10, 2009. The workshop, to be held in association with DQ Channels, will be held at Hotel Krishna Palace in Grant Road.

“There have been several instances of frauds and payment defaults in recent times that have created insecurity amongst the channel partner community in Mumbai. This workshop will give our members an opportunity to look into reasons behind the rise in fraud cases in addition to looking at ways to avoid them,” stated Praveen Dhoka, Secretary TAIT.

To help its members get an insight on how the fraudsters operate, two of the affected partners will talk about the modus operandi employed by the conmen and the difficulties the partner faced in registering the case with the police and its subsequent follow-ups.

This aside there will be a panel discussion on the business practices that partners need to employ in their companies to ensure they do not fall prey to such frauds, which will be moderated by Vinita Bhatia, Executive Editor of DQ Channels. Legal expert Rakesh Jain who is an advocate in the High Court will also give insights into legal arbitration in such cases.
