The contract will involve deploying a simulation-based training and modeling platform that will provide a safe, realistic hands-on environment for the participants to hone their skills in countering cyber-attacks.

The award is a result of a strategic partnership between NEC Asia Pacific and Sypris Electronics to deliver a joint global product and service offering.

"The Sypris Cyber Range provides the critical platform required for organizations to simulate today's increasingly complex cyber threats," said John Walsh, president of Sypris Electronics.

"The Range allows customers to seamlessly integrate and continuously upgrade best of breed capability and training curriculums from our world class partners to make certain that their employees stay ahead of their cyber adversaries."

"With the increasingly complex and sophisticated attacks from cyber criminals, an organization faces a multitude of cyber security risks to its IT systems, ranging from web defacement and malware infections to network and operation system attacks. NEC, together with Sypris, will bring together the latest technologies to jointly deliver a solution that will address the cyber security needs of the Singapore government, to prevent and mitigate against potential attacks," said Toshiya Matsuki, CEO, NEC Asia Pacific.
