NEW DELHI: Synopsys, Inc., provider of semiconductor design software, has announced that it has opened an office in Noida to better serve the growing customer base in India's northern region. Synopsys has had a strong presence in India for almost a decade, with over 225 employees working in R&D, sales and support in offices located in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

The Noida office, located near Delhi, will initially have 20 employees providing sales and support services to customers in northern India.

Senior VP and GM of Synopsys' verification group Manoj Gandhi said, "Over time, Synopsys India has grown from a small office to three facilities with more than 240 employees. Synopsys has one of the largest EDA customer bases in India, which the attendance at this year's Synopsys users' group meeting in Bangalore on June 24-25, will demonstrate. Going forward, we will continue to provide our customers in India with the tools, flows, intellectual property, support and services they need to help them meet their toughest design challenges," he added.
