successfully created 'Zampano', an animated character for the
soon-to-be-released Hindi feature film titled, 'Friends Forever', with
Ashmit Patel and Hrishithaa Bhatt among others, playing the lead roles.
For the first time ever in the history of Indian cinema, the animated character
shares over 36 minutes of screen space with live action sequences.
On the successful completion of the animated character, Malini Subrahmaniam,
president and CEO, Synergy Images said: “We at Synergy Images were very
thrilled to work on Zampano for the Hindi blockbuster 'Friends Forever'.
Creating the character from scratch was a great opportunity for our team &
challenging too; the effort was well worth it, as we are more than satisfied
with the end result.”
In this context, she added that the company was targeting of being the top
creative services and gaming company in India by 2007 and the global leader in
web and animation industries by 2008.”
Zampano was created in over 10, 000 hours. The team that created Zampano had the
task of making him a friendly, adorable character with cute actions and
seemingly real emotions. The team started by putting their concepts on paper and
then a clay model of their vision. Zampano got colored on screen and went
through several iterations before he got his body, clothes and facial features.
Malini also spoke of the company's plans to have over 350 employees by end
2007 from its current 150 employees, as the company has gained many new
customers and today counts many multinationals in various verticals like
automobile, healthcare, consumer products, financials, game producers as its
customers and is growing exponentially in the e-learning space, animation,
gaming and SFX areas.
“Synergy Images has also entered the game development space with a big
contract from USA,” she added.
