Symphony Teleca appoints Subash A K Rao as executive VP

BANGALORE, INDIA: Symphony Teleca, a global innovation and development services company, announced that it has appointed Subash A K Rao, a global human resources executive as executive vice president and chief human resources officer, effective immediately.

Rao, 48, has built his career leading change as both a global HR leader and strategic business partner. His emphasis on cultural and geographic diversity comes from having worked extensively at Cisco, Cummins, GE Capital and Tata Motors, both in functional and business leadership roles, where he led highly effective people programs and drove a performance-based culture. Most recently, he led the HR function for Cisco Systems in India.

During his 8 years at Cisco, Rao held several positions and also supported Cisco's Corporate functions globally as well as its engineering groups across Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Cisco, Rao was based in Minneapolis, where he was the HR leader for Cummins Power Generation.

Subash has been a certified Lead Auditor for ISO and QS quality systems and Malcom Baldridge model for business excellence. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt and a certified diversity trainer. He has a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and an MBA in Human Resource Management from XLRI School of Business.
