BANGALORE, INDIA: Symphony Services , the leader in global product engineering services, today announced a partnership with iRise, leading provider of visualization solutions for business applications, to bring the power of application visualization to the product development process.  Symphony’s teams of product specialists will use advanced visualization technology from iRise to dramatically shorten time-to-market for new solutions, cut re-work cost and significantly improve the customer experience for finished products.

iRise, in turn, has selected Symphony’s product engineering team for innovative development, quality assurance testing and user interaction design to enhance the iRise visualization solution. Further, Symphony’s expertise in global product development and experiences in using the product in client engagements is expected to provide valuable first-person input back into the engineering team and contribute to the future product road map of iRise’s visualization platform.

Symphony has established a dedicated product development team that will work in concert with iRise’s in-house engineering team to extend the capabilities of the iRise suite of visualization products: iRise Studio and iRise Definition Center over the next several years.  Symphony’s distinct focus on product development and long and successful track record of building commercial grade software were key factors in iRise’s selection of Symphony Services.

The partnership marks Symphony’s latest advance toward market differentiation and fundamentally transforming product engineering by coupling the most sophisticated technology with the specialized skill sets of its product development teams, who work as seamless extensions of clients’ in-house engineering organizations.  Symphony’s team of engineers – in global delivery centers in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, India and Beijing, China and in the U.S. – will leverage the global iRise visualization platform to quickly and accurately document business needs for software projects, and then validate those requirements with stakeholders, no matter where they work on the planet.

Quicker Proof of concept, faster product ideation, greater usability

Visualization is quickly becoming a critical competitive advantage for businesses to fully experience proposed applications before they are built and drive closer collaboration among globally dispersed teams.  iRise will play a key role for Symphony’s Strategic Consulting Group, who will use visualization to accelerate proposals and product designs, build a business case for new initiatives and secure stakeholder buy-in, which in turn lowers the cost of product validation and speeds delivery.

iRise gives distributed engineering teams a common platform to fully experience applications before they are built.  Symphony’s partnership with iRise will provide a faster and more accurate proof of concept for in-house design teams and dramatically decrease time associated with customer requirement validation, potentially shaving millions of dollars and months of time off of the delivery of new products.  iRise will support Symphony’s vision for an optimized ideation process with a standardized environment to create, capture and validate the ROI of new ideas, products and services.  Moreover, since iRise allows new products to be tested directly with end customers early in the design process, the partnership is expected to greatly improve the customer experience of finished products.

Fostering a culture of innovation

Symphony’s partnership with iRise marks the company’s continued efforts to help clients build open innovation networks – encompassing global and both internal and external resources -- to quicken the path from product concept to prototype and, by extension, drive greater organizational competitiveness.  Recent research has shown that the difficulty of sharing ideas among distributed teams, combined with a “not-invented-here” mentality that permeates many companies, can result in stagnated R&D that negatively impacts competitiveness.  Symphony believes that innovation, especially in a distributed environment, cannot be left to chance, waiting for that “eureka!” moment, but must be managed throughout all stages of the product development lifecycle.

“Our partnership with Symphony Services will help us listen better and react faster to the market,” said Maurice Martin, president, COO and founder of iRise.  “Visualization with iRise will help Symphony set an even higher bar for outsourced product development excellence.”

“We’re singularly focused on fundamentally transforming the product engineering process by arming our world-class development teams with the most leading edge technology available to continue delivering industry-leading software solutions,” said Gordon Brooks , CEO, Symphony Services .
