Symphony opens 1600-strong facility in B’lore

HYDERABAD: Symphony Services, provider of technology-based outsourcing services, has set up a new facility in Bangalore with a capacity to hold up to 1,600 engineers and support growth through 2004. It has invited Karnataka IT Minister, DB Inamdar to inaugurate the new facility. Over the next three years Symphony intends to invest over $ 100 million in India.



Symphony Services has positioned itself as a business transformation outsourcing (BTO) service provider with focus on high-end software development for commercial software companies; cost management solutions across telecom, energy & IT domains, advanced analytics, business services, content and research for the Global 2000 companies.





"Symphony Services is focused on providing high-end and high value added services to our clients. The aim is to create significant value for our clients by delivering world class products and services from an outsourced location," said Symphony Services chairman, Dr. Romesh Wadhwani.





"This significant infrastructure investment in our offshore capabilities demonstrates our commitment to meet the demand of clients seeking to move high-end technology based services offshore," said CEO of Symphony Services Bob Evans. "Leveraging India's intellectual capital to transform business worldwide, Symphony Services currently has over 650 employees and will be adding another 1500 employees over the next 12 months," he added.
