Symbian Foundation opens developer website

BANGALORE, INDIA: Symbian Foundation, a provider in open software platform for converged mobile devices, recently announced that the public beta version of its developer portal is now open for users to register.

“Our testing of the site has proceeded, day by day.  The site is far from finished, but we believe it’s now ready to enter a public beta state,” said a blog by David Wood, at the Symbian website.

It further added that the users of the invitation-only beta, who have already gone through the registration process can use the same account details. The site for time being does not allow any anonymous browsing.

wiki, forums, news, events, app development, training resources, reference documentation, and bug reporting are offered through this site.

The organization would be adding changes to the site shortly and many upgrades, improvements are in pipeline.
