Sybase join hands with Avnet

MUMBAI, INDIA: Sybase has signed a distribution (Master Partner) agreement with Avnet Technology Solutions in India. The agreement will enable Avnet Technology Solutions, India to extend the benefits of Sybase’s offerings, particularly analytics and mobility to the hitherto untapped markets in India.

G Balakrishnan, MD, Avnet Technology Solutions, India said, “We are delighted with our new partnership with Sybase, which is renowned for great technology in data management and mobile computing. Through this partnership, we will leverage our extensive partner base to expand Sybase’s reach in India."

This agreement with Avnet Technology Solutions comes in the wake of Sybase strengthening its focus on building the competencies of its partners for its database, business intelligence and enterprise mobility offerings, and the approach is to go on enhancing their expertise in a focused and organized manner. “We have a growing network of certified channel partners across India who can help provide Sybase Technology and support to help Indian companies unwire their data,” said Sunil Jose, MD, Sybase India.

“Partners are the extended arms of our organization engaged in providing consulting services to the end-customers, which also involves providing servicing and support functions. We strongly believe the new channel strategy will help us reach new geographies and new customer segments, and drive our growth in the Indian market. We have an able partner in Avnet that can accelerate adoption of Sybase’s industry leading solutions in India,” he added.

The agreement with Avnet is part of the new partner program being launched in India, which will include a dedicated partner portal, marketing programs, eLearning onDemand, training and sales enablement tools, specialized packages and data centers for the system integrators. The new partner program provides partners with valuable tools and resources designed to speed time to market, lower the cost of doing business, and find new revenue streams quickly and profitably.
