Sutherland ties up with Avaya

CHENNAI: The Sutherland Group, a global offshore outsourcing company, has announced a strategic alliance with Avaya, a provider of communication systems, applications and services.

Avaya Global Connect Solutions provides seamless connectivity and comprehensive support to organizations planning to globalize their customer support and back office functions. The Sutherland Group, headed by Chairman and CEO Dilip R Vellodi, has developed core competencies in the high tech and telecom verticals.

Dan Lang, Senior Vice President, Global Market Development, Sutherland Group said, "Our alliance with Avaya Global Connect would provide Sutherland’s customers an even more compelling business proposition. This alliance with Avaya will enable Sutherland to provide full Customer Management Service Offerings to Avaya’s clientele."

He adds, "Sutherland shares multiple relationships with Avaya as a client and vendor but this relationship is very strategic to us as we work together to address the growing outsourcing opportunity between Asia, Latin America and the United States."

The Sutherland Group had recently announced the expansion of its Indian operations with its decision to add around 1500 employees in the next 3-6 months. Since establishing its India operations, the company has successfully transitioned work for a number of its US-based clients. The


company expects that at least one third of its client base will move work to India over the next 6 months.
