NEW DELHI: Data Access India Ltd., an affiliate of Richard Li's Pacific
Convergence Corporation, has introduced Network of the World (NOW). NOW is the
synchronization of live television through the NOW channel with the World Wide
Web through its convergence portal NOW.com.
NOW's ISP subscribers will be equipped to experience live TV with a degree of
interactivity, video streaming, audio and music, rich graphics and text. And for
the first time in India, Net users can register online and instantly activate
their NOW ISP account without stepping out of their homes. Users will also have
the convenience of paying later for the hours that they have consumed. NOW is
targeting both the household and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) segments
for its ISP services.
The NOW ISP service comes in a 4-tier range - Insta, Rapid, Turbo and DSL
packs. The dial-up packs are available at registration fees of Rs 199 for Insta
and Rapid and Rs 499 for Turbo at over 300 outlets in Delhi including non
traditional outlets such as Planet M and Shoppers Stop. NOW has also introduced
a 24-hour phone-in help service.
