PUNE, INDIA: SunGard, a provider of software and technology services company, recently announced that it has opened a new state-of-the-art facility in Pune.
The new center will house 2,000 employees and the employees would develop, deploy and support SunGard’s portfolio of solutions worldwide, said a press release.
The facility uses external fabric ducting, intelligent cooling and lighting systems, in addition to use of eco-friendly materials throughout the facility.
Mack Gill, president of SunGard’s Global Technology segment, said, “Through our Global Solutions Centers, We are investing to scale up our worldwide technology and operational backbone, and India is a key part of our strategy.”
Akila Krishnakumar, chief operating officer, SunGard’s Global Technology segment and country head, India, emphasized the role India plays for SunGard, and observed, “Our Global Solutions Centers in Bangalore and Pune play significant roles in all aspects of product development and service delivery for SunGard.
He added that they would continue to hire specialist domain and technology talent in order to scale up their India operations.
