Sundaram Infotech would target the ERP market in Australia, specifically the medium enterprises in the automotive and construction verticals.

The company would also target mid sized companies with its software service offerings in platforms like dot net, java and similar web technologies. In addition to these two areas, Sundaram Infotech also expects to explore opportunities in the ERP Training space in Australia, Sundaram said in a statement.

Srinivas Acharya, deputy managing director, Sundaram Finance Ltd, and CEO, Sundaram Infotech, said, “We believe that the ERP and IT services outsourcing market holds a lot of potential, as can be seen from the initial interest generated in Australia, and are confident that, in the coming years, we will be able to establish a strong presence in the Aussie market.”

As part of the growth strategy in Australia, Sundaram Infotech has opened an office in Melbourne. Going forward, Sundaram Infotech would also look at marketing partnerships to target the Sydney and Brisbane ERP and IT services market.

“This expansion into Australia is on the back of our recent successes in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, where Microsoft endorsed our ERP capabilities by choosing us for their ERP expansion into those countries. We believe similar opportunities exist in the Australian market as well,”said J Raghunathan, VP-Marketing, Sundaram Infotech.
