Sun offers package for start-ups

HYDERABAD: Locuz Enterprises Solutions Ltd., in association with Sun Microsystems and Tech Pacific has offered packages to startups at subsidized rates. The Hyderabad-based eInfrastructure provider will offer the Sun Startups Essential (SSE) package for companies that are into development and demonstration of commercial software on Sun platform. The offer is also open for companies that are developing commercial software using Java, targeted at embedded systems.

"The 60 per cent offer on the listed price will help the startup companies to establish themselves in a better way and in developing strategies," said Locuz vice president Uttam Majumdar. The offer was made to fledgling developer organizations, at the launch of the SSE package in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Elaborating on the offer, the SSE program manager of Sun Microsystems, Arwinder Kaur, said that the offer was also open to dot.com Web site running on latest Sun platform. The Asia South iForce initiative of the Sun Microsystems is aimed at assisting local Internet companies in developing healthy strategies and creating e-commerce solutions.
