NEW DELHI, INDIA: Nepal-based Subisu CableNet has partnered with global access technology provider RAD Data Communication’s ETX-102 carrier Ethernet demarcation device.
Incorporating advanced diagnostic and testing features as well as redundancy over fiber main links, the ETX provides OpEx savings for Subisu CableNet and end-to-end quality of service for its customers.
Binaya Saud, chief planning officer, Subisu CableNet, said: “Subisu is providing managed carrier Ethernet services to high-profile corporate clients in the financial sector and the overseas diplomatic community. After the implementation of our MPLS service, we were looking for a suitable CPE product which could overcome the QoS and redundancy issues we faced with our previous equipment. RAD’s ETX, which offers uplink redundancy (dual/single homing) and traffic logs with high level of security, has provided us with a powerful tool to monitor SLA end to end and guarantee that the customer has received the SLA in black and white.”
The ETX-102 is designed to extend the service provider’s reach over fiber while facilitating management of differentiated services up to the customer premises. As such, it allows the operator to maintain a distinct separation of traffic from different customers and offer services as inter-office LAN connectivity, Internet access and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). The ETX-102 offers both, dual homing as well as single homing redundancy and an array of diagnostic features to measure performance and ensure customer connectivity and network availability at all times from a central site.
