BANGALORE: Mid-sized telecom software solution provider, Subex Systems has earmarked an investment of Rs 70 to 80 crore to grab a share of the $50 million fraud management and revenue assurance systems market in China. Subex will be pushing its flagship product, RevMax, a revenue maximization suite. It includes two modules Ranger and INcharge. While Ranger is a fraud management solution, INcharge caters to revenue assurance.

Subex announced that it has set up a sales and support office in the Chinese capital, Beijing and has also partnered with five of the largest telecom operators in the country. To identify itself with the local needs, the company has appointed 10 to 12 consultants to bridge the language issue and also customize its software solutions to Chinese user graphical interface.

China touted to one of the largest telecom markets in the world, boasts of a market size of $41billion. Unlike its big brothers in the Indian software industry, Subex is purely in the Chinese market to capitalize on the opportunity and will continue to develop its software products from its development center in Bangalore.

Subash Menon, President and CEO, Subex Systems, said, "we have spent close to 15 months in understanding the Chinese markets and its style of operations. There is a tremendous opportunity as they are no big players present."

The company is present in 16 countries spread across US, Europe, Africa and Asia. It claims to have the second largest installation base in the world for its ‘Ranger’ product.
