INDORE: The five-member inquiry panel constituted by the Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV) to look into the sordid scandal involving three male students of the Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS), has found all the accused guilty of misconduct.

The controversy is in connection with the posting of 'objectionable' pictures of girl students of DAVV on a pornographic web site. The incident had come to light, after a local newspaper reported that nine girls students enrolled for the MCA course at the IIPS had complained that five male students of the same institute had photographed them and posted the same on a porn site.

The report also claimed that the web administrator of the porn site, who had also been contacted by the university officials, had confirmed the identity of the students who had approached him. The web administrator of the US-based site had also removed the pictures from the site suspecting the credentials of the students.

Following the scandal, the University rusticated Vaibhav Jain, the key accused, while two others have been debarred from appearing for their examinations. The city police, on the basis of the panel's recommendation, arrested all the three accused and later released them on bail.

Though the Vice Chancellor refused to divulge the contents of the panel's findings, it is believed that apart from nude photographs, the names and bio-data of some of the girl students were also posted to the web master of the site.

Meanwhile, some of the students have raised questions over the equitability of the inquiry report, especially in the manner in which two other accused - Aditya Singh and Rachin Rawant - were acquitted of all charges. If rumors are to believed, the panel reportedly came under 'political pressure' to acquit few other students who were involved in the scandal.
