Storage Virtualization major turns to China

BEIJING, CHINA: DataCore Software, a provider of storage virtualization, business continuity and disaster recovery software solutions, has begun the first in a series of ten events focused on server and storage virtualization solutions throughout major markets in China.

Digital China,VMware and DataCore have organized the events due to the growing interest and demand for virtualization solutions across China.

“China is a rapidly growing market for DataCore due to the demand for virtualization and storage management solutions together with the government mandated Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives,” said Peter Thompson, Vice President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific, DataCore Software.

"In terms of DataCore and storage virtualization, China represents an excellent market opportunity since there are many data centers and government projects that contain a diverse set of storage arrays from different vendors, therefore solutions like ours that can work across these different types of storage devices and can manage, protect and optimize storage resources are now critical.”

VMware, a player in server virtualization, and DataCore, a software virtualization provider, have worked together with Digital China to set up the tour to showcase the benefits of ‘going virtual’ to hundreds of partners at each event. Each city roadshow will feature technology and sales presentations, product demonstrations and virtualization tutorials designed to help partners take advantage of the virtualization business opportunity.

The roadshows are scheduled to take place in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Jinan, Shenyang, Wuhan, and Chengdu.
