NEW DELHI: Software Technology Group (STG), a global IT organization, has
introduced a new program called ‘Advanced Diploma in Software Technology (ADST).’
The special feature being the unique concept called - SPEX (Software Project
Experience), simulating the experience of working in a real life environment for
the students. These projects are designed to provide hands-on experience of
different situations and different technologies which students are likely to
face in a real-life workplace. To start with, the program has been launched in
Delhi, UP, Haryana, Punjab, MP, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Bihar, Kolkata and parts
of North East. It will later be extended to the other parts of the country.
In addition, SPEX instills the discipline of real life programming, creates
awareness of the "do’s and don’ts "of programming practices and
helps to inculcate the habit of adherence to quality standards and documentation
methods. An important aspect of the program is the rigorous evaluation and
continuous review methodology.
This comprehensive 24 months’ part-time program is for undergraduates who are
keen to acquire professional skills alongside college education, or for those
graduates who are looking to pursue a serious career in the IT industry. Along
with the theoretical knowledge gained by students the program provides the
student that extra edge by giving them hands on experience of working on real
life projects. On successful completion of the program students will acquire an
‘Advanced Diploma in Software Technology’ from STG. The program is spread
across 624 hours and is divided into a total of four semesters with a fee of Rs
45, 000 for two years. At the end of the program the student would emerge as a
Quality Software Professional.
