STG bags software contract from Army HQ

NEW DELHI: Software Technology Group (STG), a global IT services organization

focused on providing quality software consulting, development and education, has

recently bagged an order worth over Rs 1 crore for a system integration project

from the Army Embarkation Headquarters. The software being developed by STG’s

software development center in Mumbai will be implemented across three locations

in Mumbai. It will manage the import and export of equipment for all the three

services: Army, Navy and the Air Force, Defence PSUs and HAL to which Army

Embarkation Headquarters caters. It consists of 17 modules including automation

activities for the rail, shipping and docks branch. STG will provide the

complete turnkey solution, which includes supply of hardware, software and

implementation of the network. The entire development is based on Microsoft

technologies and uses Rational Rose as the case tool.
