Steve Wozniak and Trip Hawkins announced as keynote speakers at Apps World

LONDON, ENGLAND: Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins have been announced as the headline speakers at the fourth annual Apps World Europe event in London this October, which takes place on 22-23 October at Earls Court 2.

Both will deliver keynote speeches at the two-day event, which attracts more than 8,000 attendees and includes 12 different conference streams, designed to deliver the latest insight into the multiplatform apps ecosystem.

Keynote speaker Steve Wozniak will be sharing his experiences and insights into the industry with developers in the Developer World conference stream on the second day of the conference, 23 October. As well as explaining how he helped shape the computer and mobile industries Steve will be covering innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in the multiplatform apps ecosystem.

Wozniak said: "I'm delighted to be speaking at Apps World, sharing my experience of 30 years in the mobile and computing industry, as well as learning from and feeding off the passion and enthusiasm of the app developer community in attendance."

Meanwhile, Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins will take to the Gaming World stage to deliver the keynote address on 22 October. Hawkins' presentation will cover the present and future of apps in the context of cultural change and disruptive products as well as announcing the launch of an exciting new venture at the event.

Hawkins said he was delighted to be presenting alongside Wozniak. "The app explosion is at the heart of the most pervasive technology change in the history of consumer behaviour, the modern equivalent of the discovery of fire," he said.

"Steve Wozniak was a big help to me when I founded Electronic Arts and in a way, he started it all. It is an honour to share the Apps World stage with him."

Wozniak and Hawkins lead a stellar line-up of over 300 industry leaders speaking at over 12 niche workshops including HTML5, mobile marketing, mobile payments and NFC, operator and VAS, TV apps, API strategies, M2M apps and five free to attend developer workshops.
