Stellar unveils new digital media recovery soln

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Stellar Information Systems, provider of data recovery products and services has launched its Phoenix digital media recovery v 2.1 software.

It recovers lost, deleted and formatted digital photos / pictures / images / audio files from removable media, after an accidental deletion, media format or corrupt media. The new version works with any type of digital card reader or external storage media that can mount as a volume. The program displays images that it finds and allows one to recover all of them, Stellar said in a release.

The new software has added file systems like WMA, WMV, MOV, ASF, RM, 3GPP, 3GPP2, DNG (Adobe's standard file format), MP3 and RMI files.

"By adding almost all the file system available in the market place, we have made Phoenix digital media recovery v2.1 the most robust photo recovery software for the Windows," said Sunil Chandna, CEO, Stellar Information Systems Ltd.

The new version of the software recovers lost or deleted pictures from Memory Sticks, Flash Cards, Sony Memory Stick, IBM Micro Drive, SD Cards, MMC Cards, XD Cards, Secure Digital Card, Zip Disks, Mini Disks. This software supports all major camera manufacturers.

The new version of the software has a standard Windows Explorer style Interface that provides thumbnail and enlarged view of BMP, PNG, GIF, JPEG, and TIFF. This also provides selective scan for various file formats and "Event Log" of the recovery process.

The new version, which comes in three different licensing options—Single User, Administrator and Technician—is available online as well as through the company's partner network across the globe.
