Stellar rolls out Windows data recovery software

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Stellar Information Systems, a provider in Data Recovery solutions, today announced the Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery 4.2 software that retrieves lost information/data from FAT and NTFS file system and saves the data to a safe location.

It works on various storage media including hard drives and memory cards and comes with a BOOTABLE CD. This recovery tool is capable of taking images of the hard drive and cloning them, apart from informing about the Drive status and S.M.A.R.T attributes, said a press release..

The solution can recover data from corrupt files owing to reasons like partition corruption and partition resizing; system malfunction; incomplete or unsuccessful repartitioning of hard drive; file system damage; boot sector corruption; hard drive formatting; MBR (Master Boot Record) damage; cross linked files; virus infection; power surges, human errors, among others.

The new version of the software is available for home users and professional users. SPWDR-Professional edition supports File filter, Resume Recovery, Raw Recovery, Drive Status, Clone Disk, Create image, Save Scan, E-mail Recovery, Masking search option and Tree view. S

PWDR Home Edition comes with basic feature which helps the users to recover data without any technical understanding.

User can easily search for the files that needs to be recovered, the interface comes with a categorized tree view to understand the location of the files in a better way, the release said.

The software works with Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP and 2000, and recovers complete data from FAT16, FAT32, VFAT, EXFAT, NTFS and NTFS5 based partitions and volumes. To make it user friendly, SPWDR  4.2  has various tabs like  Data Recovery, Email Recovery , Resume Recovery , Advance Options  and Recovery Services

The solution is priced at from Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 18,000.
