As the 2nd wave of COVID-19 rips through the country, we are experiencing the worst of the pandemic. Fiserv introduces support measures related to COVID-19

The company has launched Fiserv Cares, an initiative to support their associates who may be experiencing financial hardship as a direct result of Covid-19. Further, the company has launched a 24x7 Employee Assistance Program and a facility to reach a team of experts who will help them navigate concerns impacting associate’s home life, work-life and emotional well-being.

Fiserv will provide enhanced insurance benefits during Covid 19 with coverage to cover associates for any COVID-19 related hospitalization. Their Global Services Wellness Initiative aims to help with the mental well-being of the employees.

Mindtree announces Covid-19 vaccination drive for its employees

Paneesh Rao, Chief People Officer, Mindtree states, “Mindtree has kick-started the COVID-19 vaccination drive for all its India employees as well as their immediate family members. We have collaborated with hospitals across all Mindtree locations; Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar and Kolkata to accelerate the vaccination drive.”

“Over 10,000+ Mindtree Minds and their family members have registered for the inoculation. We expect the numbers to grow with the drive expanding to other locations. The entire cost of the immunization is being borne by Mindtree for its employees and immediate family members. Mindtree Minds who are in their home towns due to remote working and aren’t able to vaccinate at the Mindtree arranged vaccination camp will be reimbursed the cost of the vaccine for self and dependent family members,” he further added.

WeWork India rolls out vaccination drive for its employees

The company's voluntary COVID-19 vaccination drive is in addition to the existing medical insurance policy of WeWork employees. In the interim, if any employee has managed to secure a slot on the COWIN portal to vaccinate themselves or their dependents, WeWork India will reimburse the cost of vaccination for them and their dependents. Moreover, if any employee is tested positive for Covid-19 at present or in future, they can avail Covid Leave, a new leave category initiated by the company in line with the latest government mandate.

Employees can avail of leave upto 28 days depending on the need to make a full recovery. Additionally, WeWork will soon open up this drive for its 40,000 members across India. WeWork will facilitate the extension while its partners will decide the cost of vaccination.

Vernacular.ai, a Voice AI company rolls out a host of initiatives to help employees overcome the impact of COVID-19

The company has announced that it will offer an advance in salary for incidental expenses, over and above the group medical insurance cover of up to ₹8L; for employees and their family members who have tested COVID positive. The insurance also covers all expenses for 30 days before and 60 days after hospitalization. Additionally, to taking care of the costs of the Covid-19 diagnosis test, the company will provide an allowance of up to ₹5,000;  for expenses incurred by employees during home quarantine and hospitalization for themselves and their family. This can be used for tests, consultations with doctors and dieticians.

As an extension of support to the company’s workforce, all Vernacular.ai’s employees also have access to the COVID Task Force. The task force consists of in-house runners. They will help the company's employees to find positive leads on social media and other public resources. They will also help employees handle COVID-19 related anxiety. The company’s employees have also donated two days’ worth of their salary to the Swasth and ACT grants. The donation will help in procuring oxygen concentrators.

The company has tied up with the service providers of home ICUs to assist employees in case of emergencies. FIS announces Vaccination for its employees and their dependents

FIS houses one-third of its global workforce in India. The company aims to help vaccinate 10,000+ people under its employee health and wellbeing program. In the first phase of its COVID-19 vaccination drive, the company will help with the vaccinations of around 5000 people, which includes employees and their family members from Pune, Mumbai, Mohali, Noida and Bangalore.

FIS has partnered with some of India's leading healthcare providers including Villo Poonawalla Hospital, Apollo Hospitals, Fortis Healthcare, and Manipal Hospitals to carry out the vaccination program across the country for all medical insured employees and their covered dependents. The vaccination drive started in Pune on May 31st. The company will carry it out in a phased manner in Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Gurgaon, Noida, Mohali and Indore.

Other Health Initiatives by FIS include a toll-free helpline number to assist with various kind of medical support such as ambulance service, oxygen requirement, hospitalization, critical medicines and doctor on call. It has also developed and rolled out an app to enable employees to schedule vaccine appointments via their mobile phones.

Integra Software Services sets up 161 oxygen beds for govt hospital in Puducherry

Integra Software Services extends support to the community and industry by providing critical pandemic management aid. In addition to providing comprehensive COVID relief measures, as part of employee welfare initiatives, the organization has also been in touch with the Government of Puducherry for their specific needs and requirements for public health. After being informed of the need for oxygen beds in Government Medical College and Hospital (IGMCRI) in Puducherry, Integra undertook the task of converting 161 beds into oxygen-facilitated beds by installing centralized oxygen pipelines, flow meters, and oxygen regulators to individual beds for Rs 30 Lakhs (about USD 40k).

Kovai employs more than 250+ employees in the city of Coimbatore in India. It will vaccinate them as well as their dependents

The company has been continually vocal about its involvement in Coimbatore for the SaaS industry. Kovai will now give priority to safety and thus, has now announced a vaccination drive for all employees along with their dependents. The company is ensuring that safety protocols and government mandates are followed and is rushing to ensure that the drive is conducted as securely as possible.

The company has tied up with top-tier health partner, KG Hospitals, for enabling this vaccination drive. This partnership has resulted in the vaccination of nearly 100 employees and their dependents. It aims at reaching more than 500 people with this initiative. In addition to this, Kovai has ensured to fully cover its employees under corporate insurance. It has also announced a special Covid-19 sick leave for the recovery period.

o9 Solutions facilitates vaccination camps for employees and dependents

AI-powered digital solutions o9 Solutions has made a move to focus on helping employees and their dependents during the difficult times imposed by Covid-19. The company recently conducted its first vaccination drive in Bangalore, through which it vaccinated 132+ employees and dependents. It also monitored them for post-vaccination symptoms.

With the outbreak of the second wave, the company is focusing on ensuring that the health and wellness of its employees continue to be a top priority. o9 has partnered with EmedLife to ensure seamless vaccination for all employees through Apollo Hospitals. Based on vaccine supply, employees and their dependents received Covishield. Additionally, the company also organised a second dose for employees who had already taken their first dose of Covaxin.
