Startups get access to Akamai tech with One Startup program

BANGALORE, INDIA: Akamai makes available its Web and Mobile Performance solutions to startups for helping them to focus on growing their businesses without worrying about the complexity of delivering fast, reliable and secure online experiences for their users.

Akamai Technologies has announced this initiative under Akamai One Startup Program that has been launched in Asia Pacific and Japan. Akamai has partnered with incubators such as BlueChilli in Australia, SparkLabs in Korea, and TLabs in India to help startups succeed by providing products and resources that allow the startups to focus on their core business goals.

The expanding startup landscape in Asia Pacific and Japan has captured US$9.4 billion in venture capital funding across a total of 436 investments in in the first quarter of 2015– signaling a need for a secure, reliable and productive cloud environment to do business to compete and stand apart from the competition.

“Startups need to focus on innovating and bringing their product to market as quickly as possible in order to succeed and continue to secure funding to expand and grow. With Akamai’s solutions built into our globally-distributed platform, startups can scale their Internet operations rapidly without having to invest in infrastructure,” said Sanjay Singh, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan, Akamai Technologies.

Independent startups and accelerators in sectors such as travel, eCommerce, high tech and digital media can leverage Akamai’s services and technologies for a year with no integration or recurring costs.
