How did you come up with the idea?

In today’s world, everyone is totally dependent on their smartphones and laptops for work and entertainment. Once the gadget gets damaged, the life of these people stop, thus the idea of inception of this firm came from personal experiences to deal with all types of problems in this repair industry with the leading technological solutions present worldwide.

Along with providing the best technology, we give a guarantee of repairing the gadget in 24 hours; the gadget will be picked up from home of the customers and dropped back after the repair and also if possible the gadget will be repaired at home if there is controllable damage.

How does your platform work?

Phixman is one of its own kind ideas because users are free to shop services online and experience great hospitality at Phixman offline stores nationally. We provide our services in four easy steps.

First, the customer books repair online adding all the details about the problem in the device. Then we send our delivery boy to pick up the device in the next step.

We diagnose the device and repair it and then send it back to the customer safe and solid with all their data intact. Not only that we provide doorstep repair as well; the technicians are fully equipped with tools for the minor repairs. This totally depends on the situation of the phone.

How did you build the core team (co-founders and initial employees)?

It’s a short story but yet effective, team Phixman is all about dedication and hard work our senior management believes in hiring those people who actually have a desire for job and are willing to give their best in all aspects for the growth of the company.

We are currently operating both online and offline with over 75 store across 15 states in India with a headcount of 60-70 non-technical (corporate staff) and over 220-230 technical staff(store staff) approximately 4-5 people per store.

What has been your business growth till now?

Phixman’s was launched in 2014-15 in Indore with an initial investment, but with the massive expansion in 15 states with over 75 stores our turnover has grown over 10 cr. With new approaches of expansions we are planning to multiply it by five times in national and international markets.

What is the one thing that sets you apart from your competitors?

There are a lot of things that sets us apart from our competitors; one of them is our guaranteed service. We guarantee 24-hour repair delivery post pickup, doorstep repair of gadget, safety of data and most importantly payment after customer satisfaction.

We charge after we deliver the gadget to the client and they are satisfied for the fact that their device is completely repaired with all the data in it. Also, we have dedicated exclusive stores that are looking forward to customers who want personal assistance care and understanding.

Phixman has its exclusive stores offering very premium retails for electronic accessories & and post-retail services for electronic Items like smartphone, Laptops, Computers & Gaming console.

On service we charge much better prices than other service centers, almost 25% less than the price of competitors present for every gadget that is available in the Indian market.

Funding

Phixman is a bootstrapped company, we are totally self-funded and we have no financial liability. Our profit-making is such in this industry that all our all business expenses are met adequately. But as we plan to expand our business, we are looking out to raise Series A funding in the near future.

Future plans

Future plans, currently we are operating in 15 states of India with over 75 stores and online support, we plan to go International very soon and we have a target of opening 500 stores.

We are aimed to make such a good name and goodwill that, whenever a person needs a gadget repair, Phixman is the name that should come in every mind and we shall facilitate them with all the cutting edge technologies to give our customers top-notch services that no other brand provides.

We are working to create awareness among Electronics brands in Indian and International market who is working hard for post retails services for achieving customer loyalty. To all those brands Phixman is a complete end to end solution for them ready with service and retail channels.

Shaad Rehman, Founder and CEO, Phixman

Shaad is a 27-year-old mechanical engineer decided to do something related to gadgets in the future.  After graduating from college in 2014, Shaad got placed in Asahi India Glass Ltd, a glass manufacturing and Supplier Company in India with a decent package. He worked for a year as Senior Manager in Asahi and later on focused on a “gadget repair startup” and decided to follow his passions which lead to the invention of Phixman in 2015.
