The 10th annual DQ Week Delhi Awards Night, held last night in Delhi was well received by the vendor and channel community alike.

The event saw participation from 450 partners across northern India. Two of the most prominent associations of North India—Progressive Channels Association of Information Technology or PCAIT and Computer Media Dealer’s Association (CMDA), Delhi, supported the glittering awards night. Intellisys and Sify were the presenting sponsors, while Gigabyte, D-Link, Microworld, Epson and Delta Peripherals were the associate sponsors.

Like every year, the awardees were decided by a jury, which included eminent people from the industry. The panel this year comprised Princy Bhatnagar of Xerox; Mukesh Choudhary and BK Khatri of Ingram Micro and Sharad Shrivastav of Western Digital.

The event started with the screening of a short video, briefing CyberMedia’s successful journey over 25 years, followed by a keynote address by Prasanto Kumar Roy, President and Chief Editor, CyberMedia Publications. 

Following it was a presentation from Suamen Chakraborty, CEO, Intellisys Technologies and Research, who briefed about company’s portfolio of products and services.

Sify took this as an opportunity to launch ‘Sify thin client’. Anil Pant, VP—Channel Sales, Sify held some quizzes and stress bursting exercises for partners, lightening the atmosphere. Being the loyalist and one of the oldest partners of Sify from North India, Col Balwindar Singh of Targus was invited to launch the product.

The awards were interposed with fun quiz questions, which got the crowd on their feet and asking for more. This year, two new award categories were constituted—The DQ Week—CMDA-Delhi Upcoming Entrepreneur Of The Year award and the Ashish Aggarwal Memorial Trophy for Upcoming Entrepreneur Of The Year award. These were bagged by DataLink Industrial Corporation and MK Infosystems, respectively.

In all 40 partners were awarded. The awards ceremony came to an end with a lucky draw by D-Link.
