The mission of the redesign was to enhance the underlying system architecture, to improve the advisors' experience and provide additional functionality, such as third-party system integrations and mobile access.

Capitalizing on the new architecture, FOCALweb integrates with Redtail Technology for CRM integration, Quik! Forms for pre-populated forms, Docusign for e-signature and single-sign-on access to custodian platforms. In 2014, SSN will introduce additional integrations with financial planning software and an investment advisory platform. These integrations reduce advisor costs, enable advisor productivity and increase time for building and servicing client relationships.

"The redesign of FOCALweb and the inclusion of these integrations reduces the amount of time advisors spend on paperwork and affords them the opportunity to move to a paperless office," said Joe Simpson, director of Information Technology at SSN.

Each of the existing integrations, along with various native functions, may now be accessed via mobile devices. Advisors can service customers "anytime, anywhere" and can access a host of functions including opening client accounts, reviewing activity, requesting money movements, reviewing fees and commissions, and trading.

Other redesign enhancements include:

* Enhanced financial product search features.

* Enhanced client and document search features

* Better platform performance and stability.
