SQL Star public issue opens on June 18

SQL Star International Ltd, an IT company involved in

integrated operations of software development, education, and IT consulting, is launching

a public issue of 26 lakh equity shares of Rs 10 each for cash at a premium of Rs 45 per

share aggregating to Rs 14.30 crores.

The offering is aimed at funding the launch of the

company's development centers in the US and Singapore. There's also a plan of setting up a

subsidiary in Europe.

SQL is setting up offshore development facilities and ERP

consulting facilities in the HI-TEC city of Hyderabad.

To expand its education operations, SQL is opening centers

at Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, and Singapore.

The total cost of expansion plan is estimated at Rs 25.75

crore.

One of the key strengths of SQL Star is the existing

synergy between its software and education groups. The principal strategy of the company

in the software services market has been in tune with its IT education focus on databases,

client-server tools, and IBM AS/400-based development.
