MOSCOW, RUSSIA: Anna Chapman, one of the 10 people arrested in the US on the charges of spying for Russia, has been rated as the most popular among Russians on the online social networking website Facebook.

"The rating is complied in accordance with the number of page visits. We have developed it this way in order to differ from Yandex with its rating of blogs," said German Klimenko.

Chapman, 28, was among ten people who were arrested by the US law enforcement June 27 on suspicion of being part of an espionage ring working for Russia.

Meanwhile, Gorodskiye Vesti newspaper from Volgograd, where Chapman was born and lived for a while, announced a competition for the best song dedicated to Chapman.

The British foreign office said Tuesday that Chapman was deprived of her British citizenship.

Last week Russia and the United States ended the spy scandal with a swap deal. Under the deal, which took place in Vienna, Russia released four prisoners jailed for spying activities in exchange of its 10 nationals.
