MUMBAI, INDIA: Leading chipset maker Speadtrum has launched a new portfolio of quad-core chipsets for smartphones. The flagship product in the new series is SC8735S.
SC8735S comes with 1.2GHz Arm Cortex-A7 CPU, Arm Mali 400 GPU and supports 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual SIM, FM connectivity and camera up to 13 megapixels.
Other key products in the series include SC7735S and SC8835 quad-core chipsets which support multi-mode operation with GSM/GPRS/EDGE standards, Mali 400 GPU for 3D graphics acceleration and dual SIM. The company also launched SC7730A and SC8830A chipsets for vendors targeting low-end markets.

These quad-core chipsets are available and already shipping with commercial devices from HTC and other brands in China and other Asian markets.
