BANGALORE: Spirent
Communications, a provider of integrated performance analysis and service
assurance systems, has launch its wholly-owned subsidiary in India -
Spirent Communications India Pvt Ltd.
Spirent Communications will be based in Bangalore.
HS Bhaskar will head the India subsidiary. As regional manager of Spirent
Communications India, he will be responsible for support and operational
activities in India.
According to the company, the dynamic growth of the Indian communications
industry and emergence of next generation technologies such as VoIP, VPNs,
3G wireless, IPv6, Wi-Fi etc, have made India a significant market for the
company. The company has made an investment of close to $ one million in
its 5,000 square feet facility and plans to spend $ two million over the
next three months in areas of infrastructure and product support. Going
forward, Spirent also plans to undertake test automation and training in
India.
"There is a positive trend among major global network equipment
manufacturers to establish quality assurance and research and development
facilities in India and China," said VP of worldwide sales at Spirent
Stephane Johnson. "Our Indian subsidiary will help us leverage this
burgeoning market and build stronger relationships with our existing
customers in India," he added.
