Spime backs Location Intelligence

NEW DELHI: Cofounder of e-Muzed, Shankar Narayanan, is set to repeat his success in ‘Location Intelligence.’

In an email interaction with CyberMedia News, Narayanan said his new venture – Spime Inc was doing well. “I am now trying to repeat the success in the 'Location Intelligence' space through the new start-up Spime Inc www.spime.com. Spime is developing IP-centric location intelligence technologies and products which will hit the market sometime during the Q3 of 2007,” he said.

Spime has developed a consumer product – NorthStar, a mobile navigation and search application for mobile devices, an enterprise product – Discovery, an integrated system that enables identification, tracking and asset management. The company has also developed a LBS Middleware – PositionOne, a middleware that integrates into mobile platforms and enables LBS applications.

Spime is the new venture of Narayanan, who co-founded e-Muzed, which introduced the full motion video into the mobile phones and was subsequently acquired by Flextronics in the US. While the company will be based out of California, Spime’s major work will be done out of a new facility to be set-up in Chennai during this year.
